Personal:

Born in the City of Philadelphia, son of Joseph and Mary Ellen. I am a single man in my forties, who loves baseball, football, military history, parrots and skydiving. I possess a sarcastic wit and dry humor with a touch of venom. I have lived half of my life away from the City of Philadelphia that contributed to my love of all Philly sports franchises, tastykakes and soft pretzels.

I have served in the U.S. Army in hostile areas around the world, in nominal and management roles with employers and have owned business enterprises. Simply, I have walked this earth for a while and have a myriad of experiences that have shaped my personal opinions and perception of the global culture.

Phillies Notebook:

I have been covering the Philadelphia Phillies for over 30 years now. Whether from Broad & Patison, a bar stool, my couch and or car seat, I generally have something to say on the state of Phillies baseball.

Calculating the accuracy of my opinions and predictions I have been half wrong on most days. This type of intuition into the Philadelphia Phillies franchise day-to-day activities makes me an expert?

I have been a fan of the Phillies since 1967. I lived a few blocks from Shibe Park in North Philadelphia and moved to South Jersey around the time they built Veterans’ Stadium. I remember my older cousin allowing me to tag along as he made a few bucks “watching cars” outside of Shibe Park while I ate Italian water ices.

After moving to South Jersey, I have fond memories of my friends and I, taking the High-Speed Line to the Broad Street line to go to games at the Vet, when general admission was $2.00. I have been fortunate enough to see two (2) World Series Championship parades down Broad Street.
